Bible study in the afternoons

At a recent church council meeting there came a request for a Bible study group to meet in the afternoons, to supplement the excellent monthly evening Bible study run by Elizabeth.

However, we decided to wait until after Easter so as not to clash with the Lent groups.

A number of people at the Monday Lent group commented that they would like to continue to meet up, and so I tried to find out what day and time would suit most people. We were fairly evenly split between the 4 th Wednesday of the month, and the 2nd Monday of the month.

So we will be starting as follows:

  • Monday 12 th May 2pm – 3.30pm in the church small hall
  • Wednesday 28 th May 2pm – 3.30 at 170 Abbots Road.

We will be looking at the 23rd Psalm in detail and discussing how it impacts our lives. You can come along to either or both as convenient, please let Gill know if you need a lift or can offer one. This is not exclusively for Methodists – so tell (or bring) your friends!

Bible Study in the evening

This will continue as before, meeting once a month at 24 Greenways to continue our overview of the Bible, book by book. In May we will meet at 8 pm on May 28 th, and our “book of the month” will be the Second Book of Samuel. Just bring any translation of the Bible, it’s for everyone.
