In April we carried out our own annual inspection of the premises
to see if anything has been overlooked or deteriorated to the point
where it needs attention. Just a few minor adjustments need to
be made, and all can be tackled by volunteers.
We are very
grateful to our regular volunteer cleaners, but it was decided
that there will be a more thorough cleaning of the premises twice
a year, led by Maureen Sismey, who would welcome volunteers for
her team. This will “reach the parts that
the others don’t” (because it would be unreasonable
and unnecessary on a weekly basis).
At our committee meeting Circuit steward Paul Spencer gave us
a presentation concerning the need for everyone to be vigilant
in spotting potential health and safety hazards. If you see something
that could cause us a problem have a word with Roger or Tony.
